Office Allowance Pledge

During the primary election campaign of 2012, I pledged not to continue the practice of accepting funds from Dorchester County government to obtain office space.  This allowance is made available because the county does not provide delegation office space within their facilities as do many other counties in South Carolina.

Because I maintain an office for my private business in downtown Summerville, and I did not anticipate a significant additional expense to making that office available to constituents, I saw no need to use public funds for this purpose.

I have honored that pledge.  However, if you need to verify further my commitment to this promise, please see an accounting of my refusal to accept these funds below.
