The decades long national debate on healthcare has failed to address the fundamental problem within our healthcare system. Namely, how do we lower the cost of quality healthcare delivery?

We must remove the regulatory hurdles that restrict access to healthcare professionals. We must eliminate the requirements for healthcare facilities to receive permission from government before offering or expanding medical services to communities. We must improve access to, and proximity of, healthcare services by eliminating regulations that allow medical facilities to protect exclusive territories. We must redirect funding to support rural health clinics that provide care to the under-served thus reducing the reliance on expensive emergency departments as primary care providers. We must continue to improve prescription drug pricing transparency and allow medical professionals to advise patients of lower cost alternatives. We must encourage ways for patients and insurance providers to easily shop for quality, lower cost medical services.
